At a glance
India's integrated scheme for school education, covering every stage from pre-school to Class 12 and supporting States and Union Territories in planning for access, equity, and learning. It brought together three earlier schemes: Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, and Teacher Education.
In each State, a single State Implementation Society carries it out.
