We encourage students to use educational tablets/notebooks only for 3-4 hours a day because we believe an excess of anything is bad. Further, we also encourage students to use learning tablets/notebooks in the presence of either teachers or parents.
Usage of other content is restricted on learning tablets through by default launcher. With this, students can not switch to any other app on tablets without a specific ID and password given only to teachers. This makes use of learning tablets safe in school as well as at home.
Students are given easy access to the bilingual content of all grades in one subscription to iPrep, which empowers them to cover historical learning gaps and learn ahead of their grade levels.
Offline and online access to content depends on the requirement of implementation. If the implementation partner or NGO chooses to give access to the content of 9th and 10th, then, in this case, we enable offline access to the content of grades 9th and 10th, but students can access the content of other grades, too, by connecting the device to the internet.
iPrep tablets are personalized devices for each student to be used in schools, which they can also carry to their home. In contrast, the iPrep Digital library with tablets/notebooks is implemented to use in schools. In this tablets/notebooks are used by students of different classes on a rotational basis.
Once all the material is dispatched, our training team visits the school on a given date to set up iPrep tablets and for experiential training of teachers and students to use the educational tablets/notebooks. The total training time depends on the number of students; the training may take 2 or 3 days per school.
