Yes, studying from educational tablets is safe and effective for improving learning outcomes. To make it safer, we secure the devices with MDM, a mobile device management software that locks devices remotely. With MDM, we can give access to only those applications which we consider safe for the students. Everything else can be blocked, and students cannot enter Android mode or use anything else. Further, we encourage students to use tablets/Chromebooks only for 3-4 hours a day because we believe an excess of anything is bad; hence we encourage the use of educational tablets in the presence of either teachers or parents.
