Hi,
Hope your new year has started on an exciting note.
Do you know what is common between Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu?
All these states have become the first set of states in 2025 where we have set up Smart Classrooms to empower the teachers in their government schools. I hope you have not started looking for any other possible explanation.
But there is another thing which is common in the selected government schools of these states. Almost every school is affected with low daily attendance rates. And unfortunately due to reasons unknown these schools also have a shortage of textbooks for each of their students.
So, how does a Smart Classroom solution solve this problem? I will tell you how. Please read on.
We have delivered to these schools an Interactive Flat Panel Device preloaded with English medium and local language digital content as per the state board curriculum. The content consists of animated videos, practice questions, project videos, simulations and all of their textbooks. What will possibly happen now is:
- Teachers will start to supplement their teaching with animated videos which have characters and cartoon-like stories to explain the concept. This is bound to make the classroom more engaging and fun for the students
- While students will still not have access to individual books, on the smart board, teachers can refer to textbooks anytime and guide the students
- Practice questions in local languages will save teacher’s time and will help them to better understand the learning level of their students for every chapter they are teaching
- The interactive flat panel or the smart board will replace the black board and both the teachers and students will have much more options to interact and engage in the learning process
It’s been just a little less than a month since we concluded the training. And some of the initial reactions from the teachers have been very encouraging. During our interaction with the teachers, they shared how the smart classrooms have already begun enhancing their daily teaching experiences. One teacher shared that since last week student presence in classrooms has improved. “The students are more curious and excited to attend classes now,” She further said, “the energy in classrooms has shifted—a change is making our classroom engaging and joyful“
Teachers have spoken about how iPrep, the learning platform, is helping them to teach better. They said, “In many schools including ours, the lack of individual textbooks for students has always been a challenge. Now, with syllabus books on the panel, we can simply open the textbook and ensure all students can see and follow our instructions clearly.” Some of them said, “This has made it so much easier to teach all our students simultaneously.” It felt inspiring to see how a small feature of a smart classroom can solve such big concerns of teachers and allow them to focus on what truly matters.
Perhaps the most exciting part for many teachers has been the interactive features of the IFPs. One teacher shared their excitement about the digital board functionality, saying, “It’s like having a blackboard that can do magic.” They like how they can now draw diagrams, add mathematical shapes, or integrate visual elements on board with just a click.
Another point that stood out the most during these conversations was the visible student excitement of having an interactive panel in their classrooms and to now sit and learn in a smart classroom
It was truly heartwarming to hear from them and I am hopeful that teachers across these schools will continue to use digital boards as well as digital content on iPrep to engage their students and enhance learning outcomes.
In the coming months, I look forward to sharing detailed insights on usage and further updates from these schools.
Have a great January.
