On 12th February 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the Ministry of Education convened something historic – the first national Conclave of India’s AI-in-Education ecosystem, as the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026.
We at iDream Education, were honored to participate, speak and present at the Conclave with the panel on School Education, and brainstorm on how AI can help, empower and accelerate the Digital Learning for Schools ecosystem for greater impact, reach and outcomes.
Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave also marked the formal beginning of the Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Education, led by IIT Madras.
The Conclave brought together Govt Officials, NCERT, all States Education Departments, Startups, Companies, Solution Providers, NGOs, Researchers, and implementation partners across priority verticals:
- AI for School Education
- AI for Higher Education
- AI for Skilling & Workforce Readiness
- AI Research & Deep Technology
What iDream Education presented and learnt?
My partner at iDream Education, Puneet Goyal presented our work, shared some fundamental pre requisites from the Ministry of Education, how we are leveraging AI and further see incremental value creation in social edtech in the coming times.
Our key messages at the Conclave were:
- AI can accelerate creation of quality digital content in all vernacular languages used for education in Bharat
- AI can empower teachers to create on-demand quizzes, assessments, examples and simulations
- It can bring stronger focus on usage data, tracking and analytics for teaching/learning progress
- AI can supercharge our abilities to personalize content and learning platforms, and bring multi dimensional analytics and intelligence to edtech
What made the day deeply inspiring was the presence of Hon’ble Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Ji, who stayed through the sessions and delivered a message that resonated across the hall. For ICT in School education, his key inputs were:
Yes, Smart Classrooms and ICT Labs/Digital Libraries/hardware are being set up across the country,
- But are they being used regularly and meaningfully, and are we localizing content in vernacular languages for our students and teachers?
- Can we personalize the learning experience for our Govt School Students and make it non judgemental?
He shared stories and examples of students who don’t speak in the class at all because of the fear of being judged, and of great use cases of interesting teaching/learning materials.
Similarly, Hon’ble Secretary for School Education, Sanjay Kumar Ji highlighted how closely the Ministry is tracking AI developments, working with IIT Madras, and particularly exploring how we can enable personalized adaptive learning and expand its reach to government schools and students.
The message was clear that going forward, the Ministry will strongly focus on leveraging technology, data, and analytics to break the usage and outcomes barrier in government schools.
Another defining moment of Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave was National leadership emphasizing on Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL). PAL, which was once considered a niche approach, is now gaining broader acceptance within the public sector and social sector for school education, especially as one of the potential mediums of helping students cover their previous year’s learning gaps.
For many of us working in this space, this was inspiring. The narrative is NOW shifting:
From hardware → to quality content, LMS and Analytics
From installation → to usage with regular tracking
From access → to personalized learning & progress
From delivery → to data based learning outcomes
We presented the usage data from Smart Classrooms with Digital Content, LMS and Analytics implemented by the Department of Basic Education, Uttar Pradesh which reinforces this very shift toward content and usage-led evaluation. 2.32 Lakh+ smart teaching hours recorded across 5,514 Government Schools. 1,102 schools crossed the benchmark of 60+ usage hours per year (including holidays). This is not just installation. This is measurable engagement. This is a clear example of regular usage that is tracked, analyzed and acted upon to achieve the targeted teaching/learning outcomes.
And this is exactly the direction in which the national dialogue is now moving toward.

The shift toward using AI to accelerate access to digital learning, increase usage, make available quality content in all vernacular languages, analytics, personalization, and measurable impact has begun & we are happy to be contributing to this journey toward meaningful learning for every last mile student, teacher and Govt Schools in Bharat.
