How Tablets Helped Children Overcome Addiction and Catch Up on Learning

On a recent visit to an NGO in Mumbai that works with street children recovering from substance abuse, I came across something I wasn't prepared for.

These were children who had been through more than most adults ever will — abandoned, addicted, and years behind in learning. The NGO supports both their rehabilitation and education, a journey that typically takes over 1.5 years before they are even ready for formal schooling.

But this time, something was different. With just 40 tablets — each preloaded with local language curriculum aligned content, unrestricted access to all grades and a personalized learning system, the impossible started becoming possible. The same journey that took 18 months now takes less than 6. I've captured that experience in a short video.
