Bringing a Smart Classroom in Noida for a School Serving Underprivileged Children

Located in Noida, the school serves children from economically underserved communities, where access to quality educational resources is often limited. Despite financial constraints faced by many families, the school has remained committed to providing structured, value-based education and nurturing academic growth.

The school functions in two shifts, morning and afternoon, serving approximately 250 students in each session. Over time, enrollment has continued to increase, placing greater responsibility on maintaining instructional quality across both shifts. With a large number of learners attending separate sessions each day, ensuring consistent teaching standards and meaningful classroom engagement becomes critical. Strengthening classroom delivery within this dual-shift structure supports balanced learning opportunities for all students.

However, like many schools serving such communities, access to digital infrastructure and interactive learning tools remained a challenge. In today’s learning environment, where visual explanations, simulations, and practice-based reinforcement significantly enhance concept clarity, this gap can impact overall student engagement and confidence.

To support this growth and further elevate the learning experience,

Education-focused NGO and iDream Education collaborated to implement Smart Classroom within the primary section of the school. The initiative aimed to strengthen foundational learning by integrating structured digital resources into everyday classroom instruction. The implementation was carried out at Nai Disha Free Education Society School, located in Sector 29, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Through this partnership, the school has taken a significant step toward enhancing classroom engagement and supporting teachers with technology-enabled teaching tools.

Components of the Smart Classroom in Noida School

The setup included a 65-inch Samsung Interactive Flat Panel operating on Android, integrated with a preinstalled iPrep LMS platform. The device is preloaded with smart class content aligned to the Uttar Pradesh State Board curriculum for Classes 1 to 5 in both Hindi and English mediums.

The entire setup is accessible offline, ensuring uninterrupted classroom usage regardless of internet availability. The iPrep LMS dashboard captures usage data and reports offline, allowing teachers to track content utilization through built-in reporting features. The system synchronizes data with a centralized dashboard to enable project-level monitoring and structured analysis. To ensure effective classroom integration, teachers are provided with experiential, hands-on training focused on practical usage within daily lesson delivery.

Let us now take a closer look at the teacher training experience of smart classroom in Noida

Following the installation, conducted an onsite training session to help teachers confidently navigate the system. Teachers learned how to access Smart Class animated video lessons, select relevant content, and use practice modules and assessments. The training focused on practical, hands-on guidance so that digital resources could integrate naturally into regular classroom teaching without disrupting the school’s existing routine.

The training days reflected curiosity and attentiveness from both teachers and students. For many children, this was their first experience engaging with structured digital learning in a classroom setting.

To ensure the Smart Classroom in Noida continues to be meaningfully used, quarterly usage reports are shared with the NGO partner and school leadership. These reports help track engagement patterns, identify areas of strong adoption, and ensure that the Smart Classroom remains an active and purposeful instructional support – aligned with measurable academic progress rather than being just a one-time installation.
