Extending Digital Learning Through Existing Technology Infrastructure

For schols/NGOs/foundations with digital infrastructure already in place, expanding access to digital learning does not always require new devices. What can make a difference is finding a learning partner that can work flexibly with the technology available. With this need, a sociological foundation of education reached out to iDream Education to explore how curriculum-aligned digital learning resources could be enabled across its existing technology infrastructure.

As part of the initiative, we enabled six iPrep digital learning licences for the Foundation. The implementation was designed around the technology already available across its learning environments, rather than requiring a separate hardware deployment.

The six licences were activated through two different pathways. 

Two licences were deployed on client-provided TVs installed across two schools, giving teachers and students access to iPrep’s digital learning resources through existing school infrastructure. The remaining four licences were independently activated by the Shiv Nadar Foundation team on Windows-based systems, allowing their team to access the platform through its existing technology setup.

This approach enabled the Foundation to make use of its available digital hardware while extending access to curriculum-aligned learning resources. The flexibility of the licensing model meant that iPrep could be activated across different devices and settings, based on the infrastructure already available at each location.

During implementation, the model demonstrated that a digital learning solution could be integrated into varied technology environments without requiring a uniform hardware setup. School TVs and Windows-based systems could both be used to access the platform, allowing the organisation to build on its existing technology investments while introducing digital learning resources across different use cases.

The next step is to build on this initial deployment by continuing to integrate iPrep into relevant learning environments, and reviewing usage. The implementation illustrates how a flexible, infrastructure-led approach can help organisations expand access to digital learning while working with the technology they already have.
