Smart Classrooms Strengthening Digital Learning at DAV Police Public Schools, Bhiwani and Hisar

Creating meaningful digital learning experiences requires more than introducing technology into classrooms. It requires solutions that fit naturally into teaching practices, reliable infrastructure, and sustained support for teachers.

It is with this vision, a leading non-profit organisation partnered with iDream Education to strengthen digital learning across its partner schools at DAV Police Public Schools in Bhiwani and Hisar.

The programme was designed to address a common challenge faced by many schools:

The need for curriculum-aligned digital resources that teachers could access easily and use consistently, regardless of internet connectivity or varying levels of digital readiness.

The implementation included the installation of four Interactive Smart Panels integrated with the iPrep smart class LMS. The Smart Panels provided access to comprehensive digital learning content for Grades 1 to 12, with offline functionality ensuring uninterrupted access during classroom sessions. This enabled teachers to use animated video lessons, practice resources, and subject-specific notes and more content as part of their regular teaching without depending on continuous internet access.

Successful implementation also depended on preparing schools and teachers to confidently adopt the new classroom technology. The teachers were trained to integrate smart class content seamlessly into existing teaching environments, while teachers were supported in using the platform effectively within their daily class instruction. This ensured that the technology complemented classroom instruction rather than adding complexity to teaching practices.

After implementation and training, the Smart Classrooms became a regular part of classroom learning, with the strongest adoption observed in middle-grade classrooms. Teachers consistently incorporated digital content into lessons, helping create more engaging and interactive learning experiences for students. In few months of implementation, 441 registered users collectively recorded more than 2,500 hours of meaningful digital learning, while each Smart Panel averaged around 20 hours of classroom usage every month. These observations reflected steady adoption by educators and students, demonstrating that the solution had become embedded in routine classroom practice.

As the programme continues, our focus remains on supporting schools to deepen classroom integration, encourage consistent usage across more grades, and strengthen teacher-led digital instruction.
