Education is one of the most powerful domains for social transformation through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR programmes) initiatives. That said, many education-CSR ventures face massive problems executing projects, increasing relevance with local priorities, and tracking long-term impact.
That’s why companies across India look for meaningful partnerships that combine on-ground presence with digital innovation, and that also align with regulatory mandates.
As an education-focused NGO, iDream Education works with CSR teams and corporate foundations India-wide to implement digital learning programmes in rural, government, and low-income schools with the sole aim to empower every child to learn unlimited in their regional language at their own pace and at their specific skill level.
The approach we follow? The right blend of technology, compassion, and measurable outcomes, helping you fulfil your CSR mandate.
The Need for a Strong CSR Partnership
Under the Companies Act 2013, CSR mandates that companies devote at least 2% of their average net income to social projects. Nevertheless, corporate social responsibility should go beyond simple financial distribution. To truly make a difference in education, we need to be in it for the long haul and tailor our approach to each community’s functional needs.
Here’s why an alliance with trusted NGO partnerships is non-negotiable today:
- First, accountability matters. We need to be able to measure the impact of our projects and show that they’re driving real change.
- Second, education isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. We need to tailor our interventions to the local context, taking into account the language, curriculum, and digital infrastructure of each community.
- Third, executing projects on the ground can be tough. Rural schools often face significant issues, from a lack of trained teachers to inadequate buildings and insufficient access to electricity and the internet.
- Fourth, trust and credibility are critical. Education-based NGO partners have deep community understanding, extensive field experience, proven track record, and technology-led scalability. These multiple abilities will help companies reach maximum benefits while upholding quality standards.
- Finally, adhering to regulatory compliance is paramount. CSR programmes must align with government policies like the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and initiatives such as Samagra Shiksha. Having partners who understand these frameworks can help us maximise impact ethically.
iDream Education: NGO + EdTech + Grassroots Reach
Many CSR teams struggle to choose between EdTech innovation and NGO experience. iDream Education brings both effortlessly.
We work as a registered NGO with the agility of an EdTech company using research-backed pedagogy and scalable offline-first technology. Our field teams work hand-in-hand with government schools, local teachers, and district authorities to co-create sustainable, context-aware, ground-level implementations.
What makes us proactive:
- We ensure grassroots presence by customising solutions that address real classroom challenges and deliver real-world outcomes.
- Our knowledgeable team develops multilingual content across 10+ languages.
- Our K12 digital education materials are aligned with NCERT, CBSE, and state boards.
- We provide offline access for schools with poor network connectivity through digital libraries, smart classrooms, mobile phones, and tablets.
- We share detailed reports on our impact, welcome third-party evaluations, and use feedback from the field to refine our approaches.
CSR-Aligned Digital Learning Solutions We Offer
iDream Education offers a suite of teaching-learning solutions that perfectly align with different education-based CSR programmes’ objectives and government schemes:
1. Smart Classroom Infrastructure with Curriculum Content
One of our most widely implemented solutions is the Smart Class Solution, also called the iPrep Digital Class. It involves installing projectors, Android-based smart TVs, and interactive whiteboards preloaded with multimedia curriculum content in regional languages for classes 1 to 12.
The smart classrooms are designed to promote interactive group learning and come integrated with a bilingual learning platform. This platform helps you switch content anytime and provides NCERT and state board syllabi both offline and online.
2. Tablet Labs with Adaptive Learning (PAL)
Also called iPrep PAL, these Labs consist of Android tablets loaded with enjoyable offline-capable content and foundational-level practice that adapts to each student’s learning level and pace.
With diagnostic tests followed by a personalised learning path for every student, this EdTech Tulna Framework model covers historical learning gaps for students who have fallen behind.
3. Digital Libraries
iDream Education’s digital library, ICT Smart Lab, is an easy-to-use learning solution hosted on tablets, Chromebooks, and notebooks. It comes with a charging rack that can hold up to 45 devices and is preloaded with offline animated video lessons, digital textbooks, practice exercises, and storybooks in multiple languages.
Our digital library is also portable, easy to set up and charge, lockable, reduces electricity dependency, and offers in-depth reporting and analytics, student, subject, and class-wise.
It also aligns well with government-led FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) missions.
4. Anganwadi Digital Kits
For early childhood (3-6 years) education, we offer Digital Content for Anganwadis, as well as customised learning tablets loaded with age-appropriate rhymes, visual stories, and activity-based content.
These kits support the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) goals outlined under the NEP and are quite impactful in improving competencies at the pre-primary level.
5. Inclusive Education with Sign Language Content
iDream Education also prioritises inclusive education by making sure specially-abled students receive high-quality education.
We offer a sign language-based curriculum for hearing-impaired students, audio notes, practice questions, and sample papers for visually-challenged learners, and interactive simulations for children with AHDH.
CSR Programmes Implemented by iDream Education
Here are two case studies that show how our scalable products can be adapted:
Case Study 1: Smart Classrooms in East Jaintia Hills (Meghalaya)
In 2022, iDream Education launched the iPrep Digital Class initiative, with the nickname “Ka Lawei” (“The Future”). This was in collaboration with the East Jaintia Hills district administration.
The venture helped install smart TV-based digital content personalised to tribal children. After initial assessments revealed major learning gaps, our field team introduced interactive teaching and monthly tablet-based evaluations.
To address infrastructure barriers, tablets were distributed in specially designed wheeled suitcases for easy transport and charging.
Case Study 2: CIPLA Foundation for Secondary Students (Maharashtra, Karnataka & MP
In partnership with the Cipla Foundation, over 6,000 Class 10 students across 55 government schools received Android tablets preloaded with curriculum content in Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
We also added Class 9 subjects to help students catch up without judgment. This meaningful project improved daily learning at home by sixty minutes.
An after-implementation survey found that 70% of children understood concepts better, while parents engaged more actively in learning. Teachers also used the tablets to assign lessons and monitor performance proactively.
