PM’s Mentoring Scheme – YUVA 2.0 launched to Promote Reading, Writing and Book Culture in India
On 2nd October 2022, Education Ministry launched the Prime Minister’s Scheme to mentor young authors -YUVA 2.0 (Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors)
Aim of the YUVA 2.0 scheme
To train young and aspiring authors to promote reading, writing, and book culture in India. It further included projecting India and Indian writings across the globe.
Why is YUVA 2.0 important?
The First edition of YUVA witnessed large-scale participation from young and aspiring authors in English and 22 different Indian languages. Therefore, launch of YUVA 2.0 Scheme is in alignment with PM’s vision to motivate the Indian youth to take up writing books and authoring as a powerful means of expression. Further, YUVA 2.0 is a part of the India@75 Project (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) initiative. All that, to bring forward the perspectives of young Indian writers on the theme ‘Democracy’.
A senior Ministry official said,
“YUVA 2.0 scheme will help develop a stream of writers who can write on a range of subjects to promote Indian culture, heritage, and knowledge system.”
Who will be implementing YUVA 2.0 Scheme?
National Book Trust (NBT), India, under the Ministry of Education, is the implementing Agency of the YUVA 2.0 Scheme. Further, the trust will ensure phase-wise execution of the Prime Minister’s Mentoring Scheme under well-defined stages of mentorship.
How does iDream Education contribute to this mission of promoting reading and writing amongst young students?

With the vision of the mentor YUVA scheme, iDream Education believes in promoting reading by giving free access to digital books in Hindi, English, and other Indian languages to reach the last mile learner. Comprehensive digital book library in the iPrep App with a range of books on Legends of India, An Indian Tapestry, Our India, & so much more. All this to ensure that more young readers & writers emerge and create wonderful titles that encourage Indian culture, heritage, and knowledge system.
Thus, we strongly believe that mentoring YUVA scheme is conceptualised to groom young authors to become ambassadors of Indian literature. Consequently, iDream Education facilitates the reach of digital books to readers and writers sitting in the remotest region of India. All this to project India on the global stage.
